The man who brought a sign “FREE HUGS” along the street was very brave. He was put the sign above of his head to the people. But, the people were just staring at him and no one gave him hug anymore. He was not give up until an old lady came to him and for the first time gave him a hug. After that, many people came to him and make such a gathering to give hug to the other even they didn’t know each other. The important thing that we could see that was happy feeling. We know that happy feeling makes everything that we faced become easier and less of pressure. Before the free hugs campaign blow up, he was really sad because of when he came to his hometown no one gave him a hug in the airport like the other. From the sorrow he had an idea to make this campaign. That campaign was banned by the police because they thought that the man was disturbing the citizen. They told the man to go away but people were support him. He made a petition to get 10.000 signatures from the citizen and the target reached. This kind of petition was reminding me about the online petition from http://www.change.org. I am one of the members and I’ve singed three petitions that were Save Our Shark (SOS), Bali Reclamation, and Rabies in Bali. Give a sign in petition means that the people do support the campaign. After the target reached, the petition such a thing that could be a weapon to gain who’s going to banned or to challenge. The point is, a hug is the simplest how to cherish people near you because human all the same, we are all the same.
i didn't get any mistake in your writing yet. But, i just wanna ask your opinion about a compound word that you used. the compound word is "old lady". Some of our friends said that that compound word was impolite, the polite one is "elder lady". So, what do you think?
